Rookie Camp 2024
We’re delighted to announce the return of GPA Rookie Camp for this season! Due to demand, this year the GPA will host four separate events regionally across the country. 2024 will be the sixth instalment since the inaugural Rookie Camp that took place in the National Sports Campus in December 2018.
The GPA Rookie Camp is an immensely important day for young aspiring male and female GAA players beginning their journey as Inter-County players. The objective of Rookie Camp is to assist players in their transition into a senior inter-county setup and understand the personal development, player welfare, student life supports and off-field career opportunities the GPA can provide for each and every GPA member.
The event will include a number of interactive workshop sessions with special guest speakers and subject matter experts on topics including,
- Building Resilience
- Enhancing self-awareness
- Social Media & Brand Management
- Nutrition
- Physical Performance

The four Rookie Camp locations and dates are as follows:
- Ulster – Crowne Plaza Hotel, Belfast, Saturday, 9th December 2023
- Munster – Páirc Uí Chaoimh, Cork, Saturday 13th January 2024
- Leinster – Radisson Blu Hotel, Dublin, Friday 19th January 2024
- Connacht – Sligo Park Hotel, Sligo, Saturday 20th January 2024
