The application process for four fully funded scholarship opportunities at Ulster University is now open for Gaelic Players Association members. The scholarships are available to GPA members who have secured a place on any full-time post-graduate programme on offer at Ulster University. Current Ulster University students Dominic McEnhill (Antrim footballer) and Amy Garland (Monaghan footballer) were joined by GPA Education Manager Brian Howard and Ulster University Student Sport Manager David Flynn on the Belfast campus at an event to mark the opening of the scholarship application process.
Players are being encouraged to research the courses and secure their place first before then applying for the scholarships. They have until July 15th to get their applications in.
Successful applicants will be selected using criteria agreed by the GPA and Ulster University. Players with queries should contact GPA Education Manager Brain Howard at brian.howard@gaelicplayers.com.
Speaking to mark the opening of the process GPA CEO Tom Parsons said; “Players are extremely grateful to our educational partners for their support and I want to take this opportunity to thank the team at Ulster University for helping us facilitate the development of our membership.
